George Lucas always denied it, but we knew he would do another trilogy.  We all knew and loved the original Star Wars trilogy, but it was only a story half told.  To fully appreciate Anakin's sacrifice, we have to know how he fell to the dark side of the force.  We have to know the anguish and the turmoil he experienced during his formative years.  We have to see the planting of the seeds of hate that Anakin felt toward Obi-Wan, and the Jedi in general.

And so, in the early nineties, George Lucas gave the green light to production of the first three episodes in the Star Wars saga.

The prequel trilogy has the potential to surpass the grandoise of the original trilogy.   The story, of a young man's failure to control his inner demons, will resonate much more deeply with all of us on a personal level.  And the special effects, headed by the masterful LucasDigital, will be awe-inspiring.  I don't know about you, but I cannot wait to get back to a galaxy far, far away.

Each movie has their own page.  There is little known about the second and third episodes.  Episode II has just entered pre-production and is set for a 2002 release.   Episode III will not hit theaters until 2005.  But the information on Episode I, set to release next spring, is becoming plentiful.  All three pages contain information, but Episode I, for now, has the most
